Both of the targets defined— Ron Tammen and the drop zone— present enormous challenges from an investigative standpoint. Yet such challenges also incite the curious mind like no other.

   If Cooper survived and returned to civilization, the only viable avenue is to trace a missing man. If he perished in his bold attempt, DNA alone can finally provide a genetic link . . . if the drop zone is located.

     Both indeed are daunting tasks.

     Nevertheless, the two avenues outlined are the only ones available. A number of inductions and deductions reassure these avenues are the correct paths.
