Ronald Tammen-1949-aeroclub

Tammen, right seated, in shirt and tie.

Scholastically, Ron Tammen was an above average student. He played the bass violin. He sang in choir. In high school he was involved in student government, chemistry, HI-Y, and even an Aero Club. His fascination with aircraft had been longstanding, and he was an expert model builder. This reputation stayed with him, even into his sophomore year in college. He was athletic, and was active in wrestling.

Did he become the most celebrated air pirate and modern folk hero?
