At 8:12 p.m. there were air pressure oscillations in the flight cabin. Captain Scott reported over the radio: “We’re getting pressure oscillations in the cabin. He must be doing something with the stairs.”
At this moment, the FAA had picked up Flight 305 at 10,000 feet. It was near Ariel, Washington, a little hamlet at the head of Lake Merwin and the dam.
