Flight 305 finally leveled off just a little north of Kelso, Washington. They were now at 7,000 feet. After briefly flying level, they began to ascend to 10,000 feet.

   Curious, at 8:05 p.m. Captain Scott asked over the speaker: “Is everything OK back there? Anything we can do for you?”

     It was an attempt to see if Dan Cooper was still aboard.

     “No!” is all that Cooper blurted back.
